Coffee in the United States is served by three kinds of places: national chains with drive-thrus and mobile ordering, independent neighborhood cafes that double as a workspace or a meeting spot, and specialty shops that roast their own beans or buy single-origin lots and brew them by pour-over, espresso or cold brew. Most open between 6 and 7 a.m. on weekdays, slightly later on weekends, and the busiest hour is the commute rush before 9. A drip coffee runs a few dollars, espresso drinks and specialty pours more, and tipping a dollar or a percentage on the card reader is customary but not required. Nearly every cafe offers free Wi-Fi, though some limit laptop seating at peak times or on weekends, and outlets are often the scarce resource.

The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 8 am–6 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. First I was greeted with the nicest smiles even though the reservation changed from 2 to 1 people due to the inclament weather. Then Chef Michael greeted me at my table and explained how everything would go. He gave his recommendations of which tea to start and end with to match the flavor profile of the foods I'd be eating. The menu was curated by him and everything was handmade by him. He then told me to look around the shop at their assorted candles, flowers and small business knickknacks. I only waited 5 minutes before getting my tea. As it steeped I looked around the shop and they had an Oud candle, my favorite! I bought nothing but loved everything around. After another 10 minutes my afternoon tea tower was ready. Chef Michael went through everything on the tower including the main ingredients and the flavor profile of each item. He suggested I start at the bottom and work my way to the top, which ended with the desserts. I could not complain about 1 item I ate which is off brand of me. I always have some type of critique. My favorite item was the pumpkin cheesecake topped with candied pumpkin seeds, which were handmade! Then my second tea option came up and chef Michael cam

This place is utterly beautiful and no photo can do it justice. The smell of flowers when drinking a coffee and eating a croissant? It’s priceless. Highly recommend it, it’s situated in Sunnyside neighborhood. Pay it a visit when you’re nearby.

I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to give them a 5 star review! They are our go-to for coffee (and matcha), flowers/plants, and every day gifts. Their attention to detail is worth mentioning —the Ora team is always looking for new ways to beautify their space e.g. they just took some of their dried flowers and added resin to create the most beautiful table top for their coffee station. I can’t recommend this place enough and neither can my pup!

My favorite spot in the neighborhood they are a great place to enjoy great coffee, get precious and fresh flowers but not only that, the merch they carry is nice, different and peculiar. Owners are attentive to details and they also rent the beautiful space for private events and hay their own candle lab… You can see the love and effort they put into this place. 100% recommended

This is the best coffee in the neighborhood, and the lavender tea lattes are amazing too. The pastries are local and delicious, and the ambiance is gorgeous. Seating is limited since this is primarily a gift and flower shop, but if you snag one it’s a treat!
